Start with the highest quality that you can afford and add later. I learned the hard way to buy quality even if it's not where you think you want to go. Ex.)I ended up on this system buying a 75x2 RMS PPI amp and bridged it to 300x1 and used it for my subs until I could afford a larger amp. When I finally could purchase another larger amp I did so and moved the PPI to my front end speakers. Quality amp that is now serving me with quality mid range. It's 12 years young and still do'in an awsome job. Tug

I had one of those PPI art series amps, ran a couple kicker comp 12's back in the day. Bought it used for $300 and used it for 3 years... and sold it for $300. Good stuff. Is PPI even still made?

My system still needs help. I have a Kenwood Excelon Filp-out 25th anniv. edition head unit. I have a Eclipse EA4000 to run my highs, and a Kenwood to run my so called bass not sure of the model number on that. I have 2 Kicker Comp 10's in a little CM10 box. I have a Stinger SPDH10 so I don't have a problem with power. All of this is in a 2005 Lincoln LS. So why does my music sound like poo? I need all the advise I can get. HELP PLEASE!!!

What part sounds like poo? If its the bass it maybe that your box is to small or the kenwood amp is not strong enough.

It is a little bit of it all. I know that I still need to finish changing out all my mids and highs but no money at this time for that. And my bass is all wrong but not sure how to change that to make it right. I let some guys talk me into the box that I have now and either it is not right or maybe it is the amp. What do you suggest?

The box could be the problem cm10 box is very small. I would change the box first and see if that helps you.
